- Create a t-chart or 2-column chart, comparing and contrasting sexual and asexual reproduction.
- List organisms that you think would go in each category

- Read through the lab sheet that you were given: "Extracting DNA from Strawberries".
- Read the Background Information-DNA Extraction
- Answer these questions in your ISN:
1. Where can DNA be found in the cell?
2. Discuss the action of the soap (detergent) on the cell. What is the purpose of the soap in this activity?
3. Why is it necessary to mash the strawberries?
4. What was the purpose of the Sodium Chloride (salt)?
5. What is a difference between human and strawberry DNA?
